A University of Iowa assistant professor of education has vowed to dedicate her career to making sure her white students know just how evil the color of their skin makes them.
According to Campus Reform, said professor – who is also white – goes by the name of Jodi Linley and describes herself as a “queer, able-bodied, cisgender woman.”
Linley, in an academic article published earlier this week, argued that if she didn’t make an effort to “deconstruct whiteness” in her work, that would actually make her “complicit” in perpetuating the inherent evils of whiteness.
“As a white assistant professor of mostly white graduate students who will become higher education leaders, I work to dismantle whiteness in my curriculum, assignments, and pedagogy,” the article reads.
The piece goes on to state that Linley first set about on her mission to battle whiteness in the classroom when she became a professor in 2014 and decided to “develop courses that both unveiled and rejected” the idea that “neutrality and objectivity are realistic and attainable.”
In other words, according to Linley, by treating students as equal and not actively attacking the white ones, educators actually perpetuate (big SJW words incoming) “hegemonic racism, sexism, classism, ableism, cisgenderism and heterosexism.”
Linley’s piece goes on to suggest strategies other professors can use to single out and attack the white students in their classrooms.
These include making sure said white students know their views on race will be attacked and deconstructed (presumably unlike those of their minority peers, which will get a free pass from scrutiny) and “interrupting oppression” in classrooms.
Linley’s article even suggests segregating students by race in the classroom.
“For white students,” the piece reads, “talking about race with an all-white group of peers facilitates their realization that they are raced human beings, thus revealing their own white ignorance.”
And therein lies the crux of the modern social justice movement; its insistence on erasing literally all racial progress made in the past century to create a world where whites are oppressed.
This insistence is given the title of “progress,” so much so that conservative students are actually chastised for speaking out against it.
Instead of teaching students how to thrive in and contribute to a complex and diverse world, schools – especially so-called “higher education” institutions – now churn out hypersensitive men and women (let’s not even begin to get into all the other “genders” schools are also teaching) who see nothing but race, gender and oppression.
